About bd's Mongolian Grill
bd's Mongolian Grill is a restaurant in Okemos, Michigan. It is listed at 2080 W Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864, which places it among the local businesses of Okemos that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (517) 347-3045. Its Google rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 247 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Okemos is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Okemos follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My favorite place. Never disappoints. Beer is good. Food is great. Mix and match different ingredients and find your comfort food. I eat it so fast because I am too excited to go back up for a second helping. The cook are a great bunch. Always a joy and overall fun.

Had a wonderful time at bd's today! They were short staffed but incredibly understanding and helpful. After having a bad experience previously, they did an incredible job making sure our experience was satisfactory. Our server, Val and the manager, Michael were absolutely awesome and I will definitely be returning in the future.

I frequently get coupons emailed to me from this place, so I decided last weekend to go in after a number a years since my last visit. There wasn't much seating but the raw bars were kept cold and restocked often. They offered beer and had quite a simple menu. BUT I was RATHER disappointed after eating to find out they do not have pricing for a single bowl outside lunch hours. I had to pay for a full buffet which included salad bar, that I didn't want. The price difference for what I ate and what I paid for was enough that I'll never go back. 2 people ate, along with 2 beers..and it was $60!! WAAAAYYY too much for an establishment of this nature. Don't get me wrong, the stir fry was delicious...but, NEVER again!

The service was terrible. The waitress came to our table on her own two times, once to bring the bowls and once to bring the check. I had to actually get up and find her to get the rice that is supposed to come with the meals and a refill on water. She was usually chatting with the other staff who were lounging around. The prices are insane for what you get. We will not be going back again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Went to this restaurant for the first time for dinner and thought it was pretty expensive, $15.99 per bowl. Granted, salad is unlimited and you can fill the bowl as full as you want, so it is pretty easy to turn it into two meals. However, I stopped by again with my daughter for takeout and had an amazing experience. We went at lunch time so it was only $9 for me and $5 for her. Much more cost effective and plenty of food. My daughter hadn't filled the bowl on the first trip there and the staff walked around with her encouraging her to fill her bowl and even did a silly dance while they were cooking.
